JMO CURATES FLIX IN THE STIX!!

Flix in the Stix is the annual short film, comedy & live music festival that tours around regional venues in NSW & ACT. And guess what? They invited the lucky old Mo to pick the flix this year…

I’m a huge fan of short comedy films and as someone who has spent a significant amount of my life in regional Australia, I love what the guys at Flix in the Stix are doing. Amazing short films, Eskimo Joe, Axis of Awesome and me (on screen if not in person). I am beyond delighted to be involved in the ‘Best Night out in the Bush’ – and that’s not a euphemism!

NO JUDGEMENT WINS THE HELPMANN!

So so so excited to announce that – after almost literally 75 years in the business – I won my first ever Helpmann Award last night for Best Comedy Performer! Thanks to everyone who has already been to see No Judgement and also to everyone who voted – and special thanks to all the theatres, Bec Sutherland and Ailie Freedland at Live Nation and my agent Kathryn Fleming. I was also delighted to have donated a portion of ticket sales to donate 50 backpack beds via SWAGS For The Homeless. I couldn’t be there to accept the award last night but here’s my acceptance speech! xx

AUSTRALIA’S GOT JMO!

Having completed our nationwide auditions round, I can safely say Australia has, most certainly, Got Talent. In fact not just talent – but extraordinary talent – hiding in the far corners of our wide, brown land. We laughed, we cried and we lost our minds over the unexpected.

Dawn French, Geri Halliwell, Timomatic and Kyle Sandilands are absolutely magnificent as a judgely combination and I would happily kiss any one of them on the lips. Am seriously excited about bringing this show into your private home later in the year!

HOUSE HUSBANDS RENEWED FOR SEASON 3!

Those delicious funsters at Nine and the glorious gang at Playmaker Media have confirmed there will be a series three of the Logie Award-winning drama.

Nine’s heads of drama, Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, said: “Having been voted Australia’s most popular drama after less than 12 months on air, we are excited to announce a third series and look forward to continuing to add to Nine’s incredible slate of drama.”

Directors of Playmaker Media, the very hunky Davids Taylor and Maher, said: “We are thrilled that House Husbands will be back on the Nine Network in 2014 for a third series. It is an enormous credit to our dedicated team of writers, cast and crew. It’s been a terrific year, winning the Logie for Most Popular Drama Series. We have a fantastic loyal audience and look forward to delivering them even more in season three.”

Season three will air in 2014 – can’t wait!
